- MOPA laser marking machines are well known for their color marking capabilities. On stainless steel, they can engrave 16 or more colors. The laser beam creates a chemical reaction on the metal surface, resulting in a permanent color marking. This is a significant advantage over traditional fiber lasers, which typically produce only black or grey marks on metals. For anodized aluminum, MOPA lasers can produce high – contrast black markings.
